Just so you know that we really have neighbors of the four legged variety. This is Bryan's second sighting. He saw his first one in a parking lot in Anchorage. I saw one a few weeks ago near the high school, but Rick has not been as lucky. I heard on the radio today that there were a couple of moose close to the Taco Bell and Wendy's near Elmendorf. Picture St. George Blvd. and you can get an idea of what kind of traffic was on the road. These critters don't seem to care whether they are right down town or in the middle of a nice wooded area. They wander around until they find something tasty to eat.

ReplyDeleteThat must be why they were near Taco Bell and Wendys. Sounds much better than muddy pond moss to me!
That is crazy. I think it would be kind of scary to see one that close up!
ReplyDeleteYou do need to be wary around the moose. They can be aggressive especially the moms with their babies. They teach moose saftey in the schools here.
