Winter Wonderland

It may look like a fresh snow storm but this is frost. Earlier in December we had five days of heavy fog. It looked like Jack Frost had visited us and by day five everything was covered in a thick coat of frost. Nothing was untouched, every branch on the trees, telephone poles, telephone lines, street signs, and chain link fences were covered in icy crystals. The antennas on the cars looked like they had increased by a half inch in diameter. It was beautiful and surprisingly not as cold as it looks. The down side was scraping the ice off the windows of the cars, not only in the mornings but even after a trip to the grocery store a quick scrapping was needed again.
